BraveSouls is a book that was written with a specific audience and purpose in mind.
It was written to help individuals who have experienced sexual trauma to find hope, to find their inner courage, to speak more of their truth and rediscover the life they were always meant to live.
It's a real life story and personal development guide combined. I share my own story of moving from surviving to thriving after being abused and raped. It gently sign posts areas for support and reflection which will help people move toward taking their personal power back. I wanted to write the book I never found, the one that offered me hope, insight and wisdom. I wanted to write the book that did have a happy ending, the one that could guide people toward feeling better about their trauma, not hide it shamefully.
It took me twenty years to really find my true path again, and I hope this book helps other people to refind theirs alot quicker.
The funds from this campaign will help me get the book set up as an ebook and print on demand on the major book distribution sites such as Amazon. It will also contribute to a small print run (circa 1,000 copies) which will be used for promotion and to give to charities who support people who might need it.
I am hoping to get the book 'out there' into the world by September this year so the campaign will only run until the end of August 2017.
Your support means a great deal to me. I've shared deeply and intimately in the pages of this book, which I know I needed to do in order to help others. It does however make me feel rather squeamish to imagine people reading the book and judging me. That said, it's a price I'm willing to pay to birth something which can be of use to others.
