Support the Brant Family

Donation protected

Charlie George Brant was born on the 15th August 2017 at 1.09pm.

Charlie has an extremely rare condition which causes his blood to clot and he has severe clotting through most of his major arteries and his brain.

The following is an extract written by Charlie's dad Layton:

"Charlie was flown to Westmead Children's Hospital on the 16th for more scans and this is where we were told the bad news.
Basically we have limited time with our boy and every day we get with him is a blessing.

He was taken off life support late on the 18th and was not expected to survive for long but to everyone's surprise, especially the doctors, he is still with us 11 days later (Update: 16 days at time of posting to GoFundMe).

Little Charlie is a fighter and he has been lucky enough to touch the hearts of most of our families. He has met all his aunties, his uncles and most of his cousins and he has left precious memories with everyone who has met him.

We were flown back to Canberra on the 20th so we were closer to home and family and we have been lucky enough to take him to lunch and for walks.

Charlie does not look sick at all. He looks perfect and that makes it so much harder to understand for all of us.

It's now up to Charlie how long he will be with us and from the courage and strength he has shown who knows how long that could be. He's defied all odds thus far and surprised a lot of people.

As sad and as hard as this has been for myself and Samantha, we are so grateful for these times and memories we have made with our son because some families aren't so lucky and we will never forget his face, his smell, his touch, his hair, his nose and his 25 farts a day.
We thank god for our very special gift

We love you Charlie and you will forever be in our hearts and your name and memories will forever live on.

Samantha and myself would like to thank everyone for the support and well wishes from the bottom of our broken hearts."

Whilst Charlie is in hospital, Layton and Samantha are by his side. This means staying in a hospital that is hours away from their home. It also means no work - no income.

My name is Karrine and I am Layton's cousin. I am hoping that the funds raised can provide support to him and his family during this extremely hard time.  Your support will help towards accommodation costs, medical expenses and covering living costs while Layton is unable to be at work.
All funds received will be deposited to Layton.

Thank you for taking your time to read this and thank you for any donation you make - big or small. I know it will be well received by Layton and Samantha.

Your support is truly appreciated.
