Brandon's Booster Club - Medical & Rehab Expenses

Many of you have reached out asking about Brandon and want updates concerning the injuries he suffered from his serious motorcycle accident on December 4th in St. George.

His doctors are optimistic that he will recover and are encouraged by his baby step improvements. A few of the injuries include a crushed ankle, broken tibia, broken femur, broken elbow, broken pelvis, broken back and serious brain trauma. Needless to say that his helmet saved his life.

Even though there have been several successful surgeries, the severity of his brain injury is still unclear. He will be transferred from St. George Regional Hospital to Coral Desert Rehabilitation this week. The goal is to get two working limbs while at the physical rehab then transfer him back to the hospital's  brain trauma rehab unit. He is expected to be in a facility for many months, getting the care he needs.

One of the biggest challenges for us has been not being allowed to see him, reassure him, allow him to see us, and hug him. The hospital had a strict two visitor policy and the rehab facility does not allow any visitors, which has made this situation  even harder for many friends and family members.

There are many unknowns for Brandon’s future right now, and all of them come with significant expenses. Although Brandon’s children managed to secure a health insurance policy for him that started at the beginning of 2021, we know that it will only make a dent in the compiling medical expenses and the cost of long-term rehab and physical therapy. It is for this reason that an effort is being made to raise funds to offset all these ongoing expenses.

We are all certainly praying for a miracle and that Brandon can receive a full recovery.
