Brandon Price is Haiti Bound- Mission

Believe it or not, I am Haiti bound, and would love your prayers and support! I have six weeks in Haiti to help make a difference.Want to help me make an impact that will last a lifetime??
On June 4, 2013, I will be leaving on a mission trip to spend six weeks serving in Haiti with my H.S Youth Pastor and his family, The Reams (Eric, Elisabeth and their four kids). For nearly two years, The Reams have been trusting God and living as Missionaries in Haiti. Since January, they have been serving at a Christian school for Haitian children in St. Marc. I will be living with them in Haiti and working on several really cool projects.

Education Projects: Although the school year will be winding down when I get to Haiti, I will be spending time with The Reams and learning about the school they are involved with. He serves as the Principal at the school, and both he and Elisabeth teach classes. The Admin and International Teaching positions at the school are unpaid, and the school depends heavily on volunteers and donations.

Eric also volunteers with a separate group of kids in the St. Marc area that have not been able to attend school regularly.
I will get to work directly with this group, helping Eric with the weekly classes he teaches. I will also be tutoring a couple of the kids learning to speak English. Hopefully they will be able to help me out with my Creole!

Hospitality House Project: I will be helping The Reams work to finish the new "Hospitality House", which is where they will live, and will provide much needed guest housing for all of the volunteers, teachers and supporters that help in the St. Marc area. The "Hospitality House" will house and help feed International Missionaries, Volunteer International Teachers, Families Adopting Children, Haitian Families/Children needing temporary housing, and many others. I will be helping to finish out the house and building furniture pieces, shelves and storage areas to get ready for their "Guests".

A large part of my fundraising goal is to help furnish the "Hospitality House" with supplies and necessary household items to support the Reams and all of the "Guests" helping in the community.

Ministry/Community Projects: The Reams work with several other ministry projects in Haiti. I will get to work with a couple of them and learn more about each project. I will also be helping to develop a website for one of them to help raise support and awareness.

Learning to Live Project: This one may be the most challenging. Yes, I will be living with an American family while in Haiti, but I will be Learning to Live in Haiti! I will be learning about their culture, food, economy, the people, their Faith, their language. I will be spending lots of time with the people of St. Marc and visiting other missionary families. But, through it all, I will be Learning to Live...and hopefully not just in Haiti! This trip is a chance to grow my faith, to make a difference in Haiti, to make a difference in my life and in the lives of my friends and family.

Part of my fundraising goal is to help raise support for my trip to Haiti. Donations and prayers are needed. I will be keeping a journal and taking lots pictures to share when I get back!
