Brandon was in a terrible vehicle accident on December 28th, 2017. Prior to the accident Brandon worked in Chicago for Blessey Marine Services. He was full of life, always made an impression on anyone he ever met! Loved being outdoors, buying mustangs and spending time with his family and lots of friends.
At the scene of the accident Brandon was taken to the hospital in Lufkin but with two collasped lungs, a mulititude of injuries and coding three times they had to prepare him to be life flighted to a hospital in Houston.
Brandon was now fighting for his life. As his family waited, more and more information was being given to them of the extent of his injuries. He had two broken legs, two collasped lungs (which both lungs now had tubes placed in them), broken ribs, pelvis broken in three places. Broken wrist, lacerations on his face and arms. Facial fractures, stitches in many areas of his body. Lacerated liver and kidneys, and this was just the begininng.
In the days to come the family was now being told Brandon had swelling on his brain and brain bleeds. After many CT scans and an MRI they also found out Brandon has diffuse axonal injury / brain shearing.
Still more things kept coming, infection in Brandon's lungs and more tubes added with the onset of pneumonia.
Brandon's family and friends have not left his side nor given up hope with the circumstances thrown at them and the prognosis given by the doctors. This is now a waiting process to see how he responds. Anyone that knows Brandon knows he's a fighter and a very strong young man!
The family asks that everyone continue to pray for Brandons strength and healing, and for guidance of all these doctors with upcoming surgeries and treatments. They are so thankful for everyone that has been praying and thinking of them all in this difficult time.
