Brandon Gay Suicide Prevention & Awareness Fund

On November 14th, 2020 our friend and coworker Brandon Gay made the decision to take his own life. Our entire staff and many members of our community are completely gutted by this. Those who knew Brandon saw his wonderful smile so often it’s etched into the backs of our skulls. That someone who was so quick to laugh could choose to leave this life is cognitively dissonant.

Brandon’s family’s wish is for us to tell Brandon’s story and endeavor to help other people who may be struggling through depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, or attempts.

To that end we are opening a GoFundMe that directly benefits the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Our longterm goal is to build a lasting program that can continue to contribute monetarily to this foundation as well as provide opportunities and resourced for our community to gather around. This is step one in what we hope will be a long journey of honoring Brandon’s memory and sharing his story so that the world around us may see that they are loved, they matter, and they are not alone.
