Alex's Brain Cancer Support Fund

Donation protected

Alex Kraatz is a young man,
a brother/son/cousin/nephew/grandson and friend.
He is a skilled photographer and lives in Minneapolis.
He is a drummer, a guitarist and loves to skateboard.
Alex is also in the fight of his life against a cancerous tumor in his brain. He first got cancer when he was 9 years old. Surgery and radiation left him with some disabilities but cancer free for 21 years.
Now it seems the same radiation that saved him then, may be what is causing this very rare and aggressive Glioblastoma tumor he has now. He has once again gone through neurosurgery and radiation and is currently taking chemotherapy. The tumor is right up against his brain stem and causes problems with his motor skills, and speech. It is thought that Alex's cancer is terminal but some of the new studies offer cause for hope.
We have hope, faith, love and good doctors.
Alex is unable to work and Social Security won't kick in for a while yet.
He and his family need this fund and your continued help, to assist him with his everyday living expenses and the many additional costs associated with his treatment and "new normal" life.
He is receiving treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. You can read more about Alex, his treatments and see updates on his Caring Bridge Site.
