<div>My name is Wendy, and I am starting this fundraiser for my very brave sister, <strong>Marni</strong>. We all have our share of hardships on this journey of life, but on occasion, for whatever reason, some people encounter more than their fair share. It’s as if <strong>lightning strikes twice</strong>. Still, they quietly and bravely keep moving forward to face whatever the good Lord has ordained for them. They are very independent and hesitate to ask for help, taking on the entire burden themselves for their family. Let’s lighten some of that burden for them and show them they are not alone.

<div><strong>Marni </strong>is a resilient mother of six, loving wife to Jade, and cornerstone of her family and community. Marni and Jade have spent years building a life on their family farm, nurturing both their children, and their land and livestock.
</div>
<div>Two decades ago, the family faced and overcame a daunting challenge when their son successfully had a brain tumor removed. Now lightning has struck twice with <strong>Marni </strong>facing the similar health challenge. <strong>She is dealing with not just one brain tumor, but two!</strong>. The first and most critical brain tumor, almost 3" in width, requires immediate surgery. It can only be partially removed but this will still help restore her motor skills that the tumor is adversely affecting. The other brain tumor is inoperable, but is posing no threat at this time. In addition to these two tumors, she has a third on her kidney, that they will deal with down the road. This surgery is a risky and dangerous procedure that we all pray has a successful outcome.

<div>Marni and Jade's farm is their livelihood, and both of them working on it is crucial for its sustainability. With the hospital nearly an hour away in Saskatoon and extended time needed off from work for pre-and-post-operative care, they are bracing for a financial burden that looms large. We are grateful for the costs covered by our medical system, but the additional expenses and loss of work income will add up quickly.

<div>This campaign aims to raise $50,000 to support Marni and Jade as they navigate this challenging period. The funds will cover immediate and future expenses for hospital trips or any treatments and therapies that are not covered by the medical system, as well as the financial shortfalls resulting from both Jades loss of wages, plus the loss of Marni's participation in the farm duties during her recovery.
