Brain Surgery-Mandy (Monroe) Thomas

  As much as we wish that we didn't have to create a GoFundMe account, it is with sadness that we are doing so in support of our loving Sister Mandy (Romo) Thomas.   After years of experiencing long lasting headaches (weeks on end), facial numbness,tingling, weakness amongst other debilitating symptoms, Mandy finally received a refferal to a neurologist. After reviewing an MRI of her brain it was determined  that Mandy has a brain tumor located on her amygdala, which will require surgery to remove and possibly chemo/radiation. While meeting with the neurosurgeon to review her diagnosis and treatment plan, Mandy was hit with a second blow! Not only does she have the tumor but she also is suffering from Chiari malformation, a condition in which brain tissue extends into the spinal canal. It occurs when part of your skull is abnormally small or misshapen, pressing on your brain and forcing it downward. Both issues are seperate from each other and will require two separate surgeries and months of recovery.  For all that know Mandy, she is a go-getter, a shining light, one who expels good vibes and has the drive andmotivation that inspires all.  A loving partner, friend,sister, auntie, cousin and most importantly a loving MOTHER.  Someone who would go to hell and back to provide for her babies and she's ready for this fight!   Most anybody knows Mandy will and has worked 14-16 hour days on end to provide for her family.  While Mandy fights this and focuses on coming back 100% she is going to need all of our support!!   This is where we come in!  Our hope is to raise enough money to help with medical costs and living expenses for Mandy and the babies while she faces her toughest battle yet!!
