Braiden’s Legacy Helping w/ Dyslexia

Donation protected
Hello our names are Crystal and Mike West and our story involves our youngest son Braiden West.On Jan. 4th 2018 he was involved in a storage container fire while he and another child were playing. Unfortunately our son passed away due to smoke inhalation and gained his forever Angel wings on Jan 6 2018.As my wife and I try cope with our greatest loss it was laid on our hearts to do something to help others. Our original plan was for Braiden to become an organ donor, but alas God had those plans changed. In talking with others we decided to use his legacy to help those who had helped him. Braiden was diagnosed with dyslexia and had learned to achieve success with special dyslexia trained teachers and had been invited to be a Star Reach student at his elementary school. He was always inquisitive and very excited to learn. This why we chose to set up a fund to help other children with dyslexia. The testing can be quite costly and our areas need more trained teachers.Braiden never met a stranger and was the epitome of genuine love. His fiery red garnered him many nicknames such as "B" big boy, b-man and lil red but mostly we called him "the best boy ever" We have also decided to include a portion of the proceeds to help our 1st responders, EMS, and fire and rescue personnel with any training or equipment that they may need. Their efforts are greatly appreciated for all that was done in attempts to save our son.Our hearts are saddened, and it will take time to heal, but if this fund can make a difference to others it would be the best legacy for our son.
