Braeden Johnson Mountain Biking Accident

Hello,

My name is Tosha and I am Ami Johnson’s sister. For those of you who do not know Ami’s husband (my brother n law) Braeden Johnson was in a terrible Mountain Biking accident today. He is currently at KU Medical awaiting surgery on his clavicle that he cannot receive until Monday. Some other injuries he sustained are a broken T-7 spinal compression fracture, lacerations, concussion, and air in his chest cavity from the impact. The impact of this accident is going to be felt not just in medical insurance deductibles, loss of work for my sister and Braeden, but the physical and mental recovery it is going to take to return to ‘normal’. At this point they are saying Braeden’s recovery is going to be anywhere from 6-12 weeks and it could be more. They both have bills to pay and with the impending loss of work for an unknown time is going to be very hard for them. Please be willing to donate whatever you can to help them out. They are both very independent, but I know they would appreciate any help during this time! Thanks.
