This morning June 4th in the early AM, a devastating fire tore through a building in Brainerd, MN, completely destroying 10 apartments and 3 local businesses. Among those affected was Brady Gums, who lost everything he owned in the blaze. He, along with 11 other individuals, was left with nothing but the clothes on his back. Brady lives nearly four hours away from any close family, making this already difficult situation even more difficult. While the Red Cross was able to provide one night in a hotel and the Salvation Army gave him $10 to buy a pair of shoes, the road ahead remains incredibly uncertain. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest it may have been electrical. Brady is now left without a home, belongings, or essential resources, and he needs our help to begin rebuilding his life.
