Brad's PGA Education Fund

In January of 2012, with the unbelievable support of my loving wife (girlfriend at the time) Tristan, I decided to change careers and go back to school.  We moved down to Port St. Lucie, FL and I attended Keiser University's College of Golf.  I decided upon Keiser based on the amazing faculty and awesome learning environment that it provided.   I felt like the education that I would get would propel me to the top of the industry.  This was the best decision I could have made!!

The day after graduating, I was hired at Deering Bay Yacht & CC in Coral Gables, FL.  After an awesome year continuing to learn and grow as a golf professional, I was offered and accepted a position at The Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park, NY (the oldest private country club in the US!).  Since New York is not so golf friendly in the winter, I needed to find a seasonal position for these colder months.   Luckily for me, my good friend Scott DeLong, whom I worked with briefly at Deering Bay, was in need of a seasonal teaching professional at the CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa in Anguilla, B.W.I..  It has been an amazing journey that has led me down here to the Caribbean, and soon back up to New York for my second season at Tuxedo.  I truly have been blessed to work at these amazing clubs, and with such awesome professionals that I continue to learn from.

In order to continue to grow as a professional and eventually move up the ladder to become a Head Golf Professional, I now need to finish the PGA of America's Professional Golf Management 2.0 program. Completing this program will mean that I am a Class A Member of the PGA of America, which I am currently an Apprentice thereof.  Without PGA Membership, my career will basically stall out, as this is the most important qualification in our industry.  The program requires you to go through three levels of online study, live seminars at the PGA headquarters in Port St. Lucie, and finally testing and evaluation for each level.  In total, the program costs just shy of $10,000!!  You could imagine that between student loan payments, other bills, and of course rent, (notice the not-so-cheap locations of these great clubs!) an assistant's salary isn't the easiest to save up this kind of money.

So here I am, after having put in almost $3,000 of my own money, asking for your help.  To complete the PGM program will take an additional $7000 on top of what I have already put in.  If you can, and would like to donate to the cause, I would be inexplicably grateful!!  So many of you have already shown me so much love and support that I can't say thank you enough!!  I hope that if you can, you will find my education to be a worthy cause to donate to.

As you can see, I am offering some incentives as well!!  Seeing as I would like to thank you for your support, I am offering different levels of lessons and instruction for those of you who can help out.  I always want to give back to those who help me along the way and this was the best way I could think of to do it!!

Thank you all for taking the time to read and hopefully share with anyone that you think may want to donate!  If you can't help at this time, thank you for reading and don't be afraid to share the page, as that is a donation in and of itself!  Thank you again and here is to the future!!
