We are holding a draw for a little girl but many people who didn't have children did not want to buy tickets and asked for a way that they could contribut and donate to the family. So we have created a gofundme site for those who want to donate but not buy a ticket.
Brooklyn was a completely healthy 2 year old little girl who went in for a routine surgery and suffered a tragic complication where she went into cardiac arrest. The consequences were very serious causing her to go blind, she lost the ability to swallow and eat, talk and walk etc... she went through 4 months of treatment at Sick Kids Hospital and did beautifully well with her therapies, she is starting to say mommy and daddy, follow objects across her face, tell the difference between light and dark, eating and swallowing again on her own, taking steps with her walker but still has a very long road ahead and an expensive one. She requires expensive therapies and equipment to assist in her recovery.
Her parents are both self employed and do not have medical benefits. When she was discharged after 4 months of therapy they told her family she qualified for one therapy session every 6 weeks. The cost of these therapies is overwhelming to say the least and she needs multiple a day.
We can't stop her progress and we want to encourage her fighting spirit to regain her life again. We are raising money to pay for those therapies. So pls donate if you can.
