<div>As we enter the Christmas season, I’ve begun a project to create care packages for people experiencing homelessness in our community. My name is Faisal Akram, and I’m from Bradford — and seeing the struggles many people face around us has pushed me to take action. This time of year can be especially difficult for anyone dealing with hardship, and even a small act of kindness can mean everything to someone who feels unseen.

<div>In Islam, we’re taught that compassion has no boundaries. The Prophet ﷺ said:

<div>“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others.”
</div>
<div>This reminder isn’t limited to helping Muslims — it’s a universal call to serve humanity.

<div>Another teaching of the Prophet ﷺ inspires this effort:
</div>
<div>“He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbor goes hungry.”
</div>
<div>Our “neighbor” in Islam includes everyone around us, regardless of faith, background, or circumstance.

<div>With these teachings in mind — and knowing that every faith encourages caring for others — I’m raising funds to create care packages filled with essentials like warm clothing, hygiene items, snacks, and small comfort items for those who need support the most.
