Recovery Fund for Chris & Brad Fee

On April 2nd, Brad fell down the stairs and hit his head. He was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with an acute subdural hematoma on his entire right side of his head. The left side of his head had contusions that are not fixable with surgery and will cause some permanent danage.  Before his surgery, he was presenting with apashia, both receptive and expressive. He could not understand where he was or what was happening to him.  In surgery, they were able to relieve the pressure off of his head and remove almost all of the blood clot with basically no bruising on the right side of his brain, which is wonderful. They left a drain in his brain and he is currently being monitored in the ICU in case there is a rebleed or the left side with the contusions starts to swell and they need to take him back into surgery. He will remain intubated for the next day or two since he is so confused about what is going on. Moving forward he is going to need both speech and occupational therapy. Luckily my mom and dad are on a great health insurance plan with Kaiser. However, my dad will no longer be able to work, at least in the foreseeable future, which is going to put an almost unbearable hardship on my mom. If any of you know my mom, she is truly an angel living on earth, she has a strength and hope that I only dream of having one day. She sat in the hospital yesterday with a smile on her face and comforted her 3 children and she will continue each day pushing forward and smiling because that's just who she is. She would probably not be happy with me for making this for her and my dad, because she is not the type to ask for help. Not because she is prideful, but because she only thinks of others and never herself. I hate that there is not more that I can do for the 2 of them, and I am hoping that this might at least make things a little easier for them.  Any money raised will go directly to them, and thank you all for your prayers and support, its amazing the support system that we all have, we are truly blessed.
