Reaching out for public support was a tough decision, but your generosity provided a vital lifeline when the financial burden reached a breaking point.

<div><strong>Disqualifying Opposing Counsel</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div>We successfully applied to the Court to disqualify opposing counsel and their law firm from acting against me on the grounds of a conflict of interest. I was awarded costs in my favour. The Plaintiff appealed, and the Court of Appeal for Alberta dismissed the appeal. I will be seeking costs for that victory as well.

<div>We secured a formal, Court-ordered Litigation Plan that imposed firm, enforceable deadlines on the Plaintiff and brought much-needed structure to these sometimes chaotic proceedings.

<div><strong>Taking Control &amp; Halting the Bleed</strong>

<div>I made the difficult decision to step into court as a self-represented litigant in May. Going self-represented stopped the continuous financial bleed while allowing me to maintain control over my defence. Calling this a learning experience is an understatement.

<div>The Court stepped in and issued significant orders—including a formal stay of proceedings—halting aggressive litigation tactics designed to wear me down. My lawsuit is under Case Management and Judicial Supervision following a significant court ruling in my favour on July 14, 2026.

<div><strong>Protecting Donors &amp; Free Speech</strong>
</div>

<div>When the opposition tried to expand their claims by attacking my GoFundMe campaign, shutting down my online presence, and targeting my donor list, the Court shut them down completely and awarded costs in my favour. The Plaintiff is appealing that decision. I am confident this appeal is meritless and will be dismissed, with costs in my favour.

<div>The Associate Chief Justice of the Court of King's Bench is now actively examining the broader pattern of behaviour underlying my lawsuits and other lawsuits the Plaintiff has brought since 2015.

<div>Stepping up to represent myself put us on a winning path, but I could not have reached this position of strength without the essential groundwork laid by my legal team.
