Brad's Cancer Surgery and Treatment Fund

We would like to introduce you a pretty special guy.  His name is Brad Berryman and he is a loved son and grandson, kindhearted brother and beloved uncle. About a year and a half ago life was pretty normal for Brad.  He worked hard every day at a rigorous job and maintained a workout schedule 6 days a week. He was a healthy 40 year old, but in January 2018 he was diagnosed with high grade aggressive bladder cancer and his life dramatically changed.

He has had to undergo treatments to try to stop the growth of or eradicate the cancer and through it all he has maintained a positive outlook even though the cancer keeps returning.  His bladder doesn’t function properly and as a result suffers from consistent interrupted sleep.   He suffers from anxiety due to not knowing if the cancer will spread and the implications of that in addition to the stress of the financial burden he feels due to his mounting medical bills.  Although he has individual marketplace insurance, it is not comprehensive, has extremely high deductibles and out of pocket amounts and with the severity of his diagnosis and treaments means extremely large expenses for him.  The nature of his treatments and the side effects he experiences means he has had to work fewer days at a job that pays him hourly, so he makes less money at a time which is a problem when he has so many extra bills.  He has had 5 in hospital procedures and 2 rounds of 6 week treatments.  He has doctor, anesthesiologist, pathology, and lab bills. Thankfully he has some form of health insurance and it has been a blessing, but it only covers a portion of the cost.  He is not able to meet his monthly bills and pay all that is required for his care including the high deductibles and out of pocket expenses. Family is helping as much as we are financially able.  His doctors have told him that he needs to have surgery to remove his bladder within the next month and with that his costs will soar. We are setting a $50,000 goal which will all be used by Brad to help pay medical bills and cost of living expenses.

Brad is a son, brother, uncle and grandson in a loving family, and a true Texan since age 7.  He has a good heart and is an all-around great guy who really needs help. Through it all he has maintained a positive outlook on what the future holds and continues his works on what is now 5 years of sobriety. He is blessed to have a lot of wonderful people praying for him.
