Brad Marousek Funeral Costs

Dear friends, as many of you have already heard, Brad Marousek passed away tragically and unexpectedly this week. On behalf of Terri Marousek and family, I am trying to raise money to help cover these sudden expenses. Brad was a father, friend and a family member of our MTV family. By scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed, it is clear that we are all devastated by the news that Brad decided to take his own life.
I have been speaking with Terri regularly since yesterday. She said that Brad was very happy and jovial this last weekend. He had just put up the Christmas tree with his mom and grandma Sunday night. There was absolutely no indication that anything was wrong.
Brad’s young life affected and touched so many people across many miles. This tragedy will be an intensive and expensive process for his family. With your help, all proceeds here will be for Brad’s family and the following:
- Funeral Costs (Nebraska)
- Memorial (California in March)
- Extended family transportation
Brad’s celebration of life is set for Wednesday December 13th at Apfel funeral home in Grand Island, NE . I will be going to Nebraska with my husband and son this week to help in any small way we can. We will also be planning a memorial in March when Terri comes out to California. Or possibly the end of this month (if we can raise enough for her to come home)
I don’t think anyone would argue that what Terri and her family are going through is the hardest thing that any mom could ever imagine. So hearing my friend, a grieving mother in tears saying” I don’t even know how much a funeral costs… I don’t even know how I am going to pay it” I couldn’t even let her spend one second thinking about money. So we will be handing the funeral payment details with the help of her brothers, and anyone that is able to help contribute. I looked up average funeral costs in Nebraska and it seems like it’s about $9,000. Unfortunately my husband and I have very little financially to contribute, so we are giving our time.
