I lost my job

Hey guys, I just got fired. It had nothing to do with my performance. I think the company just overhired and laid off a bunch of new hires.

I'll just be frank and say that I need money to get me through the next few weeks (hopefully not months, I have never been laid off and don't know how it works). I have a ton of expenses coming up and I have no clue how I am going to pay them all off.

I don't know if the amount I'm asking for is ludicrous. It's about one paycheck, or was. I am going to apply for unemployment right away, but I don't know how long that takes. Getting fired from a job that you enjoyed doing is a really bad feeling.

Please consider helping me. I am very scared. Even if it's not financially, someone to talk to would be great, either just for comfort or for advice. I feel like crying.
