On June 30, 2014 our cousin Jonathan Cervantes from Renton Washington suffered an accident. He went for a swim that day with a couple of his friends in Coulon Memorial Park in Renton Washington. They swam in an unrestricted area. His jeans started to get heavy on him and it caused him to lose energy and he began to drown. He was under the water approximately for 20 minutes or less struggling to get out. He was then rescued by some fire men who went in to save him and it took the fireman 10-15 minutes to find him. When they finally found him they pulled him out and they began to do CPR on him to try and revive him, but it didn't work, so they had to put a shot right in his heart and thats when they began to find a pulse in him and took him to Harborview hospital. Soon after that he was taken to the Childrens Hospital. There at the hospital his heart stopped at 1am and he came back at 2:30am and they had to put him on an ECMO machine. He then ended up falling in a coma for about three days. By Wednesday he started to wake up. Soon after a bacteria got into his leg muscle and it had to be amputated. It was cut three fourths over the knee. On July 13th his lungs began to fail. Then on Monday July 14th they did some test results and they found that he had a fungus infection in his lungs which caused him to get bronchitis pneumonia. At the moment he's still in critical condition.
