Hello! my name is Trina Brunk and I’m a life coach, and I’ve spent the majority of my adult life interested in learning how to deal with my own Complex PTSD, and using what I learned to help others. In the process, I found a few things that really helped things go better in my life overall, helping me to feel better, tap into my creativity, and expand my ability to show up in life and contribute to others.

Last fall, I found a way to encapsulate some of the things I learned in a streamlined process that I call “4 Questions for Inner Alignment” (or 4Q). I started offering these one on one sessions to beta testing clients for free, and watched as they did amazing stuff with the work.

Through the 4Q process, I witnessed a long Covid sufferer go from struggling with brain fog, to feeling mentally spacious and clear in a matter of a few minutes.

I saw a man who described how he was feeling at the beginning of our session as having “so many strong emotions that it will be difficult to show up in a socially acceptable way” and after a focused 30 minute session, he reported feeling “powerful, coherent, stronger feeling in the heart, spacious, calmness in the neck and jaw”. The intensity had gone from an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10, down to a 3.

And then there was the zoom call with a lady in Tel Aviv, during a time when there had recently been air strikes and there was the possibility of more. Even in the midst of that, she went from feeling scattered and ungrounded at the beginning of our session to “motivated, energized”.

The more I’ve worked with people, the more I keep hearing the same thing — this approach really works. And it works a whole lot better than I realized, often with unexpected side benefits such as reduced physical pain and overall feelings of peacefulness and wellbeing. I decided to create an online course to show anyone how to do it, and in the process began to discover even more of what the process could do.

I have increasingly been feeling that I need to share this work with as many people as I can. But I want to verify that it will give lasting and consistently high quality results. Someone recently suggested that I start collecting data for some preliminary research and that suddenly clicked.

I am creating this crowdfunding campaign, because I’m seeing the mental health crisis in our communities and I feel that if this work can help, then verifying its efficacy and getting it into the hands of more people has got to be top priority.

I want to focus more fully on this project, and I’d like to be able to give as many 4Q sessions as possible, gather and process the data, and publish it. And if I raise enough funds, I plan to hire a qualified research consultant to help me so that the project is really well done.

What I’ll be raising the funds for
This project is intended to cover my cost of living while I devote myself to:

~ Giving 115 sessions
~ Gathering and processing data
~ Publishing the data

If the longer term findings of the research are consistent with what I’ve been seeing, my long term vision is to

1. Develop and produce a series of accessibly priced, high quality training videos,

2. Write a book on the things I’m learning and the research we’re doing here,

3. And train other coaches and therapists to lead one on one sessions and groups.

I have a dream that this process will at one point be in the hands of all who can benefit from it, from everyday folks with everyday struggles, to licensed counselors who will be able to use it to help with deeper trauma and longstanding issues.
