BPU Calgary - The Food Security Fund

Black People United ( BPU) is a group of Black individuals who are dedicated to organizing mutual aid networks for the Black communities of Calgary. We believe in radical love and the power of the people to care and support each other
Launched in August 2020, BPU is a collective of volunteers and organizers working non-hierarchically. We are dedicated to making a fundamental difference in our Black communities by forming mutual aid networks - this includes providing tutoring, rent support, grocery pick-up and delivery, and other acts of care that are tangible and address immediate needs.
BPU runs a weekly groceries program which serves 50 families a month on average and provide 12 boxes of diapers monthly.
All of this work has been made possible by the generosity of folks.  BPU is entirely funded by the people, so we rely on your support to function. Please help us sustain our grocery program and meet the rising demand.  Every little bit counts.
