Leadership Texas is Calling!

As you may know, I've recently been honored by being accepted to the 2012 Leadership Texas Class! This is a statewide leadership program for women, consisting of a year long training program in which I'll travel the state and learn about the politics, issues and concerns of various communities, and at the same time enhance my leadership skills. A good friend was in the 2011 class and said it was invaluable for her career, and life as a whole. Now that I've been accepted, my next challenge is to fund the class. The remaining amount I owe for the year-long course is $3,000 - due by January 16, 2012. In an effort to raise these funds, I am reaching out to you - my friends, family and colleagues to ask for any assistance you may be able to offer. I will also be funding this endeavor myself. Most of the women accepted into the program work for large corporations, which pay for their tuition.

To keep everyone in the loop, I will set-up a blog to share photos and thoughts, as I travel the state with this phenomenal group of women.
