Create Therapeutic Communities for BPD

I nearly took my own life after I realized how many relationships and job opportunities I burned off.

Hello my name is Marcus Hart and I was officially diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder in 2018, but I have battled with all of the severe symptoms of it since 2007 when I first returned home from a military deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I felt alone and like a broken individual. These feelings would come up even in romantic relationships when they are growing great, or worst, when I'm with family members that love me. I felt escape in dark places and reached for vices that resulted in some terrible consequences. I developed addiction in gambling, risky sexual behavior, and extreme risk taking.  There was help, but the shame never allowed me to say I needed it so I can get the information and resources to spiral back up.

I feel there are a lot of people who are misdiagnosed, diagnosed, or not diagnosed at all still suffering with this similar condition silently and desperately want to come out and get some healing. This is why I am on a mission to find my brothers and sisters (especially men, as this is niche population that is stereotyped wrongly in society) to educate, give alternatives, and a safe place to express their thoughts and hurts.

Inspired also by several private Facebook groups, I believe a real therapeutic healing community for individuals diagnosed with BPD that is controlled and offers holistic options will roll back the further damage that results from the 1 in 100 that are affected (at least diagnosed).

The funds contributed will be used to create both a virtual and actual community ground for individuals diagnosed with BPD to come and visit for respite away from spiking symptoms or manic moments of hopelessness. The community will also serve as a place to help victims recover from job loss, healing from damaged relationships and grief, better money management, and proper diet and medication management or natural options (as these are the top issues that are affected the most during manic times of the illness).
