Hola! As many of you know, this last year I spent June to October in Ensenada, Mexico serving for a missionary couple alongside a few more interns. Last year God confirmed the calling I felt on my life to serve in missions. While in Mexico I fell in love with the Latin American culture and felt completely at home there. When I returned back to Olympia last October I started working and praying about what God might have in store for me next. After time spent in prayer and closed doors, I was accepted into a YWAM (Youth With a Mission) Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Tijuana, Mexico! I am so completely blessed and grateful that God is taking me back to Mexico.
My DTS program is called Compassion in Action and it is a five month program from September until February. Each YWAM DTS is split up into two sections: the first three months, the Lecture Phase, I will be living on campus at the Tijuana base and taking classes on missions, the Bible, Spanish, and discipleship. As a class, we will also be serving the local Tijuana community through youth and children programs, downtown homeless and red light district ministry, as well as local church ministry. The second two months, the Outreach Phase, my class will be split up into different outreach groups and going overseas to serve in another country. My class will be going to India, Uganda, or South America. Currently I do not know which country I will be serving in but I will find out about the third week into the Lecture Phase. In my Outreach Phase we will be serving local ministries and communities in whichever country we are placed! I am so excited for the choices of countries and could not pick one if I had the choice!
I would be so grateful if would consider supporting me financially for this amazing adventure! Any amount would be blessing me and bringing me closer to my goal! I am willing to work for my money if you have any babysitting or housework that needs to be done I would love to work that into my current work schedule! I have until September to raise my funds! But I know that I cannot come up with all this money on my own! I am relying on the Lord heavily for these funds. But I serve a faithful and miraculous God and I know that he will provide for me!
