Bouwens Family

On February 19th, 2019 our daughter, sister and friend Bridget Bouwen's life began a new journey that few of us can even IMAGINE. After being misdiagnosed with a back injury Bridget soon learned that she had a tumor or a Myxoma in her heart.  After her successful open heart surgery to remove the tumor our dear Bridget and her family felt a sense of relief, although a long road ahead they knew she would get better. A few days later they learned that tumor was Osteosarcoma a childhood  bone cancer typically, but as she likes to say, "I am a child at heart." The tumor in her heart was actually a metastatic tumor and another was found in her upper right forearm. The site of origin was her spine, the site of her supposed back injury.  She is now in very aggressive chemotherapy to shrink the tumor in her lower spine so that she may be a candidate for surgical removal. We are asking for daily PRAYERS for Bridget as she goes through this very serious treatment regimen. As with most families she worked full time and is still raising her family with hubby Bryce. They are back and forth to the hospital every week for lab draws and every three weeks for chemotherapy. We are setting up this page to enable anyone who feels led and is able TOO, to assist with their extra needs. Thank you so much from the bottom of our HEARTS!
