HELP US GET PERFORMING ARTISTS BACK ON STAGE!

COVID-19 has been devastating to performing artists and traditional performance venues.
As the performing arts industry gradually rebuilds, we need reimagined and forward-thinking platforms that are inclusive and that celebrate the live culture and community we have missed so much.

In August and September of 2020, Boulder Arts Outdoors created a safe platform for live performance with two packed drive-in performance series that presented 25 acts and 79 local artists. Inaugural BAO performances featured Latin American folk music, contemporary dance, Indigenous music and dance, classical ballet, djembe drumming, samba dance and music, bluegrass, chamber music, and more.

A post-festival survey showed audience members loved the performances and wanted to see more:

“What a wonderful evening! Just what we needed, so grateful :-)”
“I enjoyed the variety of performance and solid production logistics...Boulder Arts Outdoors' first foray into this world was remarkable. I look forward to experiencing more.”

In 2021, Boulder Arts Outdoors is thrilled to carry its mission forward and to continue celebrating the region's unique, culturally diverse voices and award-winning performers. Six outdoor performances will take place in downtown Boulder at the Glen Huntington Bandshell and will feature 30 unique acts and some of the region's most celebrated performers, such as Helanius J. Wilkins, 3rd Law Dance/Theater, Elisa Garcia, Leo Munoz Corona, Victor Mestas, Lady Romeo, and Peter Davison.

Your donation will allow us get these artists back up on stage and support our efforts to reimagine and build a performing arts platform that meets this moment! Thank you -- and we hope to see you at the performances!
