Papa Randy and His Girls

Papa Randy lost his 2 year long battle with cancer yesterday. He was an amazing grandpa to these girls and their new baby brother. Papa Randy wanted to live long enough to see his grandson be born, which he did. Not only that, he saw 2 new granddaughters born as well during his long battle.

I don't know if he ever even realized how he helped people. But when I knew him I was confused young man just finding God. When I was around him I always felt comfortable and encouraged. He was what I now call a real man. He never tried to be fake or impress anyone. He was who he was and proud of it. I wanted to figure out how to be that way myself. He will always be remembered by me. Sorry for your loss
Randy was my other dad for nearly 11 years. He was so tremendously loving and humorous. He was so proud of every person in our family, and having a man like that love you and be proud of you made you push and work so much harder. Even in these last couple years, while he was very very ill, he would always find you to hug you and kiss you on the cheek. He was the definition of sharing and showing Christ's love. He gave everything to and for us and was the proudest grandfather I had ever seen! I love you Randy and am so grateful you made me apart of your family. We will miss you here on earth, but I'm sure you will keep the heaven's smiling in the meantime.
He was unable to work and provide for his family during those long two years. He and his wife along with their son moved in with Matt and Melissa.
Even while being so sick he walked the two older girls to school everyday until he was too weak to do so.
He was a man that loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
