To know Emily and Jony Bos is to know pure joy, unbridled love, and complete unselfishness. To know them is also to know what amazing parents they would be. With nieces and nephews and countless other little ones, you see their faces light up when those little ones come into the room. To watch Jony, in all of his 6 feet 7 inches glory, curl up on the floor with a book or a game or a princess doll is to witness happiness. To watch Emily in the kitchen or with art supplies and see the patience and care that she takes to teach is to witness pure delight. To know them is to know that they deserve to be parents and to know that God has to have a plan for that to happen. For each of us to be able to help in that plan is going to allow us to witness a true miracle.

This plan doesn't’ come together with just one person but with all of us. “Where two or more are gathered, there I will be also.”

They need your help.

Come be a part of the miracle with us and give in whatever way God is leading you to. Let’s walk hand in hand with God as He brings their dream to life!

love,

Fiona Culley, Brittney Schoessel, & Sue-anna Maley

Message from Jony & Emily:

This story began the way most do. Boy meets girl, boy and girl get married, buy a house, and have a baby. Except that's not how it happened at all.

Yes, we met, and fell immediately in love. We were married in 2009 and shortly after our first Anniversary dropped everything and moved half way across the world. We worked on our education, traveled, lived out of suitcases, and learned a lot about each other. When we made our way back to California we decided it was time to start a family, or at least, 'see what happens.' Nothing. Nothing happened for years. We decided again in 2014 to take another big leap of faith and moved halfway across the country: to Nashville, Tennessee. We bought a house and really started to feel like we were thriving-- like God was priming us, like the magic Tennessee water would soak in and all of our dreams of starting a family would come true.

If anything we can at least say our story isn't boring, or predictable. Emily was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2000 and ever since there have been good years and bad years. We have taken each year, month, and day as it comes, and are grateful for them all. When we began to pursue fertility treatments more aggressively in 2015, the Crohn's fought back. Our two failed rounds of IUI were crushing, and we found ourselves needing a breather from the weight of it all.

Unfortunately in 2016 Emily's health began to decline rapidly, and in December of that year she underwent major abdominal surgery to removed a diseased portion of her intestines. The baby dreams were put on a prolonged hold. We had to push those dreams out of our minds and guard our hearts, as we were in survival mode.

BUT - how good is our God? Emily soared through surgery and we have spent the year and few months since focusing on our overall health and wellness.

WE BEGAN TO HOPE AGAIN.

So here we are, Spring of 2018. A season of newness; of rebirth, and we feel strong, and ready to fight. It's time to pull out the big guns. After a LOT of prayer and research, we've decided to pursue our very first round of IVF. It's only taken us 6 1/2 years to get here. But God's timing is perfect. His upper story, that He is seamlessly weaving together is much more beautiful than the jumbled knots we see in the here and now. We know the children He is going to entrust us with have a greater purpose than either of us can possibly see.

We are entering this new season with courage & gratitude - and we need your help. Life doesn't happen in a vacuum and neither do miracles. We need your prayers, we need your words of encouragement, we need your bravery when we are feeling small and afraid, and we need your financial help.

Fertility treatments are expensive and insurance doesn't cover them. Your contributions will help us cover the costs of IVF treatment and medications. Asking for financial assistance is hard, and humbling. Some of our closest friends have started this campaign and gently reminded us that we all need help sometimes, and that the last thing we want to do is rob someone of an opportunity to be a blessing to others.

Thank you for your support.

We all get by with a little help from our friends -- and a WHOLE LOT of Jesus.

With Hope,

Jony & Emily Bos
