Chase's journey with our family started just over 5 years ago when we rescued him. He quickly made his way into our hearts the way only a boxer can. He has been a constant loving companion to my boyfriend and I, his brother, and their parents.His full body wag has always been able to put smiles on the faces of every person he meets.
Over the last few months we have discovered a sore on his upper lip that has been diagnosed as Carcinoma through a biopsy.
This tragedy has come after another causing vet bills to skyrocket for our family. Selling off what ever we can, we are struggling to manage to pay the vet bills that already accumulated from the biopsy.
We are trying to raise $2000.00 to cover the cost of the mass surgery that needs to be conducted to remove the cancer. Because it is such a fast growing cancer the vet, in hopes of insuring that there is enough healthy tissue, recommends that we wait no longer than July 30th to perform the surgery.
I am asking as a dog lover, a part of this family, and a caring and loving family member to Chase that you all reach out to others to help us give Chase a chance to live out his life. Please spread the word and do whatever you can do to help. Thank you.
UPDATE!
Funds and fundraising is being used to pay for medications currently prescribed by Chase's oncologist. The mass surgery is unable to be performed at this time due to lack of healthy tissue around the tumor.
Hopefully in the future we will be able to perform the mass surgery if the medications are unable to cure the cancer all together. More information is available in the updates written by myself (Quincey Ranquist).
