Our Rebuild Fund

Hi all,

Hurricane Harvey has destroyed our lives, along with countless others in Texas.  We were water rescued from our home, took on two feet of water, and both of our vehicles are a total loss.  We've had so many family and friends ask how they can help, so we created this page to share with everyone.  

We're trying to do most of the demo and repairs on our own but, as you can imagine, the costs are adding up rather quickly.  We also fall in to the 80% of affected Houstonians who did not have flood insurance coverage.  

We're still in shock and trying to assess all of the damage, which is a lot.  When our house has dried out and we begin the repairs, extra sets of hands are always appreciated and welcomed.  I know our tribe of friends and family are so strong - we've already seen it and we are truly blessed and humbled by the outpouring of love and support we've seen the last week.  You have restored our faith in humanity, compassion, and selfless support to those in need.   Our hearts are so full.  Thank you will never be enough.

Donating your time right now is just as important as any monetary donation - so many people need help gutting their homes and getting back to some sense of normalcy.

Our goal isn't really specific, as we don't know what can be covered by our homeowners' insurance.  We need to buy drywall, insulation, replace most of our kitchen cabinets, electrical work, tile and grout, washer, dryer, refrigerator, paint, some kitchen appliances, and some pieces of furniture....just to name a few.  We also don't know what our over/under will be regarding the cars.

We promise to update everyone on our progress (either through this page or Facebook updates) as we navigate through uncharted territory right now.  All of your messages and calls of support have helped us get through this and try to see the light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dim it might seem right now.
