Boricuas for Puerto Rico

Thank you to all who have donated to Boricuas por Puerto Rico. I have to say that when I started the fund I never thought things were going to get as bad as they are at the moment in Puerto Rico. Rebuilding will come, but today, Puerto Rico is in survival mode. I am starting to send money next week to Puerto Rico, together with as much batteries D as possible.  Those are the ones needed for hand held flashlights and are very hard to find right now . There is no power in the Island or technology working, for which reason I will transfer the money to a local account under my name. I will personally  buy the batteries and will do a Managers Check under the name of San Francisco Javier Parish with the remaining balance.  Another Puerto Rican actively working with relief groups will take it personally to the Parish.  They will be able to use it right away  for basic needs like; water, gas, bread, medicines... There are tons of containers stuck in the ports with merchandise that have not been able to be distributed. These funds will get essential basic needs to the community first hand. 

Again, thank you for the support you are giving this community in this terrible crisis, every dollar counts and we are being able to help with their specific needs!









Boricuas for Puerto Rico is an initiative created to help families directly impacted by Hurricane Maria.  Funds will be used to help families rebuild homes and meet their urgent needs like immediate access to medicine, water, food and shelter.

Boricuas for Puerto Rico was born from the heart of us "boricuas" living outside our island.  We want to be a resource and provide a helping hand to those who need it as they rise again from this catastrophe.  We are certain that Puerto Rico will come through this crisis stronger than ever, but they need our help to make that a reality. 

The Boricuas for Puerto Rico fund will be managed by the San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, located in San Juan.  This parish and its community were seriously affected by Hurricane Maria, and its leaders have direct insight into urgent needs.  Status reports will be provided to participants on a regular basis.

Boricuas por Puerto Rico es un movimiento para ayudar familias directamente afectadas por el Huracán María. Los fondos van directo ayudar a estas familias a levantar sus hogares y que reciban necesidades básicas como agua, alimento y techo.

Boricuas por Puerto Rico es una iniciativa que nace del corazón de todos aquellos "Boricuas" que vivimos fuera de la Isla.  Queremos ser esa mano ayuda aquellos que lo necesitan para lograr levantarse de esta catástrofe.  Puerto Rico va a brillar nuevamente, pero necesita de nosotros más que nunca.

Los fondos de esta iniciativa serán manejados por la Parroquia San Francisco Javier, localizada en San Juan Puerto Rico. La Parroquia y su comunidad fueron directamente impactados por el Huracán María y pueden identificar claramente sus necesidades. Compartiremos con los participantes de esta iniciativa reportes que muestren como logramos impactar la Parroquia y su comunidad.
