Borg Ranch Lithography Project

Stone lithography is an old and beautiful medium of fine art printmaking. It is not easy to find a studio with the proper equipment to do it, at least not inexpensively. I have given a home to a Griffin lithography press, made in Oakland, CA , and several litho stones, and I want to share this with other printmakers free of charge. In order to get the press up and running, I have many things I need to buy and build, like an inking table, graining station, drying racks, flammable materials storage, chemicals, inks, scraper bars, and more. It is my goal to be pulling prints by the end of summer. I have been given a wonderful opportunity with this press to continue the practice of fine art stone lithography for myself and other printmakers near me in the Bay Area.
