Bruiser's Eye Surgery

Bruiser was rescued on 7/4/15 after living on the streets for an unknown amount of time. It's obvious he's had a rough life. He has many special needs (diabetes, HIV, blind in one eye, missing ears, lame in one leg, and four broken canine teeth). When we first rescued him, we were able to raise enough funds for his initial evaluation, treatment, and insulin. We spent two months trying to find him a forever home, but no one showed any interest. So we decided to keep him, and we don't regret a single minute of it. We love him so much!

After his good eye became infected several times, we had him examined again. It turns out that he has entropion and needs eye surgery in order to save his good eye. Entropion is very painful. You can read about it here . The estimates we've received for this surgery range from $600 to $800.

Eventually, he will need other procedures as well (i.e., broken teeth removed). These procedures are very costly, and we don't want to put him through too much all at once. So for now, we are just focusing on the eye surgery. This little guy deserves all the help he can get after all he's been through. We are so grateful for any amount you can give to help with the cost of this surgery.
