Books for Mayan Women

Mayan women in Guatemala want to tell their stories. They want their stories to be heard. And, they want to read and share their stories in their communities. I am raising money to cover the printing and delivery of my new book "Guatemala: Violencia Sexual y Genocidio" Guatemala: Sexual Violence & Genocide (FyG Editores 2020) to 200 public libraries in Guatemala.
It will cost approximately $11.00 per book (including delivery - Guatemala does not have a functioning mail service). $2200 will provide one book to each of the 200 libraries. As soon as we receive the funds, we can print and deliver the books.
I have worked with Mayan massacre survivors since 1993 and written several books. I am including photos from my last book presentation in Panzos, Guatemala in 2010. http://www.fygeditores.com/emails/panzos/lamasacredepanzos32aniversario.html.
Covid prevents me from traveling to Guatemala to present this new book, but I will work with local Maya radio stations and NGOs to publicize it. It has been my honor to accompany these communities in their struggle for justice. I would be so appreciative if you could join me by helping put more books in their local libraries.
Background: In the 1980s, 626 villages were razed and 200,000 people killed in a genocide committed by the Guatemalan army.
