Bookmarks Solidarity Appeal
Bookmarks, the socialist bookshop, in the heart of London, provides a valuable service to the working class movement locally and internationally.
Bookmarks sells the broadest range of socialist and progressive literature, we provide bookstalls at most trade union conferences and we are the official bookseller for the TUC, stocking a range of books and materials essential activists.
Last August, the bookshop was attacked by the far right, by people associated with the racist street movement headed by Tommy Robinson.
We received an outpouring of solidarity from around the world, a tribute to the connections we have made over 20 years.
The threat of the far right and the hope emerging around figures like Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie Sanders and the climate movement, requires political ideas to strengthen our side.
That is why we are launching an appeal, so that we can expand the service we provide to the working class and progressive movements. Please consider either making a one-off donation, opening a Bookmarks account with a monthly standing order, or a make a contribution from your trade union branch or organisation.
