We are so lucky that two volunteer photographers believe in us and took these beautiful pictures for the book. 
These stories about displaced families, forced to leave their house in rural areas and moved to Medellín, to the neighborhood Bello Oriente, the highest neighborhood of Medellín. Make their stories and voices heard!

We are releasing another book!

With the first 'Support a child' story, a seed was planted for our founder Ed Veldhuisen: "How nice would it be to bundle these stories in a book?" Our communicator Yamid first thought that would be to difficult, but after writing 20 personal stories for the 'Support a child' project, he is on board. Yamid is the best person to write this book for us.

The Dutch book "Friday my dream comes true" was a success. Not only the book itself, but also all the new contacts that the book brought. We are confident that a well-written book with beautiful photos can also open doors in Colombia and can improve local fundraising.

At the moment we are busy rewriting all the stories, taking and selecting photos, looking for a publisher, etc. There is still a long way to go, but we are well on the way! We are going to publish the book bilingual, in Spanish and in English. This way we have a wider audience and various international companies based in Colombia can get to know and support us.

Unfortunately, publishing a book is not cheap. That is why we are starting a specific crowdfunding campaign to publish the book. Do you want to support us?

We brengen weer een boek uit!

Met het eerste 'Steun een kind' verhaal was er een zaadje geplant bij onze oprichter Ed Veldhuisen: hoe mooi zou het zijn deze verhalen te bundelen in een boek? Onze ‘comunicador’ Yamid vond dat eerst een spannend idee, maar na 20 persoonlijke verhalen te hebben geschreven voor het ‘Steun een kind’ project is hij aan boord. Yamid is de aangewezen persoon om dit boek voor ons te schrijven.

Het Nederlandse boek ‘Vrijdag komt mijn droom uit’ was een succes. Niet alleen het boek zelf, maar ook alle nieuwe contacten die het boek bracht. Wij zijn er zeker van dat een goed geschreven boek met mooie foto’s ook in Colombia deuren kan openen en lokale fondsenwerving kan bevorderen.

Op dit moment zijn wij bezig met het herschrijven van alle verhalen, foto's maken en selecteren, zoeken naar een uitgever, etc. Er is nog een lange weg te gaan, maar we zijn goed op weg! We gaan het boek tweetalig uitgeven, in het Spaans en in het Engels. Zo hebben we een breder publiek en kunnen verschillende internationale bedrijven die in Colombia gevestigd zijn ons leren kennen en steunen.

Het uitbrengen van een boek is helaas niet goedkoop. Daarom starten wij met een specifieke crowdfunding actie om het boek te kunnen publiceren. Wil jij ons steunen? Dat kan!
