BOOK DRIVE FOR CAMHs

am launching a mission this Christmas to Donate as many books as possible to our Local CAHMs Unit. so over the next couple of I am raising money to purchase some Usborne Books. As Christmas is all about giving!
CAHMS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health) support children who are struggling with their mental health, this may be in the form of anxiety, depression, Eating disorder, Autism, ADHD, self harm, physical/mental/emotional/sexual abuse, just to name a few. Some of the children will spend Christmas away from their families, and whilst some may get to spend it with their families it can often be a time that is fraught with real worry and anxiety. identifying and supporting children with their mental health early on is key to allowing them to have a healthier adulthood.
As someone who has used the Mental Health Services, and has shared the experience with many young people who have been supported by CAHMS this is a cause very close to my heart.
By giving the gift of a book, I am hoping we can make a small difference to these children by showing them that there is some good in the world, especially at Christmas.
Here is how you can help!!
1. you can donate a book - look through my website and choose a book you wish to donate, you pay for the book and I order it.
2. if you can donate any spare pennies, no matter how much, I will order books to the total amount raised.
everyone who does donate in what ever way will be acknowledged in the donators list I will provide when the books have been delievered.
