This isn’t just a book. It is our history. It is a theory of change, and an insider’s look from the heart of the grassroots at some of the most important mobilizations from the last decade, and it shows the power of a small group of committed citizens to change the world.

This book is also a tactic to introduce important ideas to people who want to make a difference. Whether you are new to grassroots political organizing, a long-time veteran, or just interested in learning more, Be The Revolution presents unique perspectives and insights into the world we live in and the path forward to a sustainable future.

 

Be the revolution isn’t just a book, it is a mission.

 

We will be doing leadership trainings for frontline activists and college kids in cities across America. To share this theory of change and strategies to help local coalitions work in solidarity. So often leaders of various causes and campaigns could win by collaborating and aggregating resources, but so often aren’t working together in a meaningful way.

 

These trainings are designed to offer leadership distinctions that have personally changed my life and has been central to every success Ive had in the last decade. They also create a deep experience of connection and solidarity in teams and coalitions.

 

We can’t do it alone. We need to raise $20,000 to cover expenses.

 

We took out a loan for a van so we can drive across the country to meet with these activists. The rest for gas, traveling expenses, making loan payments, and to hire staff to help organize the tour. We will probably need more but this at least, will keep us going.

 

The problems we face are great, but history has taught us time and time again that with the right vision, strategy and solidarity the 99% can triumph, but it is going to take all of us doing our part.
