Boobgate: Project Emergency Replacement

Boobgate: Project Deflation. ( . )Y(.)
Welp, I have a ruptured breast implant. How did this happen? I'm so glad you asked. Jousting with one of the many cosplay swords around here? No. Pro wrestling? Nope.
It was my lovely corgi.

Bella got super excited and put all her scooting herding power into making a beeline hard right turn for the back room (where the cat's food is, along with the dumbbells...because you know...fallen kibble) when I took a left. She swept my feet out from under me cleaner than any wrestler I've been in the ring with and I fell. With serious impact. I bumped in a way that was truly unbecoming to my Killer Kowalski training. The "unshatterable" water glass I'd had in my hand was in shards all around me. I knew I was hurt, but I was trying *not* to be. The pro wrestler "walk it off!" mentality never really goes away.
My elbow turned purple, and I was sore and limping.
My chiropracter popped my hip back into place. The elbow just bled and is still tender.

A day and a half later, I realized my breast was jiggling way more than it should be for a fake tit. And I could hear sloshing. And feel it. It was deflating.
It got lower and lower,  the top flattened out, and it hurt.
Ohhhh, no.
While looking everything up, I thought I was going to pass out and throw up at the same time. I had a bit of a panic attack, which turned into tears, fear, frustration, anxiety...the gamut.

Surgeons are backed up due to COVID, but I managed to get a consultation to confirm that it's definitely ruptured.

So, it turns out I can't walk this off and I am not sure what to do. It's uncomfortable and hard to breathe. I'm told my insurance won't cover any of this.

First: I don't have the funds to handle it. I lost ALL my bookings for the year and was turned down for partial unemployment, an artist grant, and the Small Biz Loan (I qualified for it, but they claim I didn't get my info in on time. I did, but I think they couldn't open the format to process it in time.)

The bigger issue: Aside from being a model and needing my boobs in order to work, I'll be down and out for 4 days - and then I cannot lift anything over 5 lbs for 2 weeks.
Bella is paralyzed from Degenerative Myelopathy and weighs 40 lbs.
This is a pretty sh*t position to be in.
(Most of my family has passed on.)

And the last bit: they don't make this size implant any longer. I'd have to go down in size, which is fine...but I'm wondering how many custom made costumes, etc will still work. Ugh. That's the least of my worries, but a nice little cherry on the crap sundae.

They want to do the surgery sooner than later since there are risks of complications if I wait. And this is much more expensive than I thought it would be.

It's just all a lot at once. A lot of decisions to be made and expense to handle.

So, a couple of people suggested crowdfunding the tata's. After all, so much of my work is in the public domain they're kinda yours anyway, right? Now they really would be!

So, I'm giving this a go since I'm already working at 3 jobs (writing, content creator and AprilsScentSations soy candles and soaps on Etsy) and I'm not sure what else to do.
If you can help, I'd be deeply grateful. More than you know.

Xo,
April
