Devastated by hurricane Harvey

Houston’s devastating hurricane Harvey has caused so much heartbreak for so many families.  Bonnie, in her seventies and Leonard, in his eighties have lived in their home on the bayou in Houston for over 30 years.  Never before have they seen such a destructive horrendous storm come through the area.  A couple days after the storm began water began to seep into the main level of their home and within a couple days it was 5 feet deep covering all of their belongings.  The water has risen so high their refrigerator is currently floating in the kitchen and totally destroyed the downstairs of the home.  They took shelter in the second floor, where they remained for a few days until a rescue boat arrived and transported Bonnie to a safe place away from their home.  Leonard remained, concerned about looting and after a few days, ran out of his medication.  He was fortunate a neighbor was able to get a boat to provide medication in his time of need and the following day was evacuated on a military boat.  He is now safe with Bonnie, away from their home.  They have lost everything!  Their house is still under water, snakes, alligators, fire ants and bacteria along with mold growing everywhere is now a huge concern along with no permanent place to live.  They have no family in the area and are devastated as to what their future may bring.  They are wonderful people and need our help now in this devastating situation, please open up your heart and help. They have no flood insurance and have lost most all of their possessions. The funds raised will go to shelter them until they are able to reenter the home, repairs to the home, clothing, appliances and incidentals to get them back on their feet. Anything you can do to support them would be appreciated.
