My incredible sister Bonnie and her beloved cat Buddy, who's a remarkable 17 years young, are facing a housing crisis with courage and resilience. Despite her limited income as an SSDI recipient, Bonnie's determination to overcome adversity is truly inspiring.

In October 2024, her home of 30 years was taken away due to a typo in a will, leaving her with nowhere to go. Over the past four years, Bonnie has faced unimaginable challenges, including the loss of her husband Greg to lung cancer, her father-in-law, who was more like her father, CJ, to esophageal cancer, and the loss of her home of 30 years, all while facing her own health issues. Bonnie also had to leave behind almost everything she owned as if it went up in flames. Despite these setbacks, Bonnie remains strong and determined.

With the help of a temporary arrangement with a family member in Florida, Bonnie has been able to get some of her bearings back. However, this arrangement was only meant to be temporary, and Bonnie must find a new home by March 1st. That's where we need your help. We've found an affordable, permanent solution in Scranton, Kansas, where Bonnie will be near her sister to have the support and care she needs. But we urgently need help with moving costs, including renting a car dolly, gas, hotel stays, and startup costs of getting her into her new home and startup household items.

This will not be an easy task. For this we will need to rent a car dolly to haul her car for a rental fee of $462.00

Gas from Kansas to Flordia without towing for an estimated total of $260.00

Gas from Flordia to Kansas towing her car for an estimated total of $487.50

The trip with stops will take a total of 18 hours one way. This factors in one hotel stay on the way down estimated total of $150. One night in a hotel to stay while after loading her items, picking up the car dolly and loading it, $150. And two stops on the way back for 2 hotel rooms as pulling a trailer adds several hours and with having a disability is too much to drive for 20 plus hours, adding another $400 for 2 nights with a pet fee these times.
