Bonito's Fight for ALL campaign

with my wife Deborah we are doing this to raise funds for our nephew Carlos Raphael Angeles Florendo for his medical treatment here at MD Anderson Cancer Care Center Houston, Texas, USA.
year 2014 at 8 11/12 years old (one month short of his 9 year birthday, October 7, 2005) he was diagnosed to have Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). hence, chemotherapy started. induction and maintenance were uneventful no major side effects nor complications. towards the completion of therapy a bone marrow test was done and the fear of relapse was inevitable. the families, medical team, significant others and the patient especially were devastated of the results. the plan was to repeat therapy all over again. during the second therapy and with frequent testing of his bone marrow he seems not responding anymore. his medical team in the Philippines at St.Luke's Medical Center Quezon City (SLMC QC) consulted a colleague in Germany and confer to start a new protocol for Carlos using an adult regimen therapy. apparently he did not respond during the induction and his conditon was deteriorating. final and best option of treatment is Immunotherapy (stem cell). first option was to send the medicine to the Philippines but it will take one (1) month to start the therapy due to legal paper trail for the medicine to be tested and approved by the Bureau of Food and Drug Administation (BFAD) of the Philippines and Drug Formulary of SLMC. one (1) month is a long wait. second option which is the best we can do is to come to MD Anderson Cancer Care Center. at present, Carlos is already 12 years old as of this writing. for the three (3) years that he had undergone therapy we are opting  for a best choice to preserve the quality of life of our dear Carlos who we fondly call also our Bonito. for the three (3) years we have amass money for his therapy. coming to MD Anderson is a gamble and contemplating to get a quick loan was not that easy to process just as we thought. a good friend of my wife suggested to seek assistance from gofundme for Bonito's medical expenses. Immunotherapy (stem cell) is so expensive and we do not have it in the Philippines. an average cost estimate of $500,000++ was given to us. we want our Bonito to have a cancer free life and enjoy it for the rest of his life. we hope you can assist/help us raise funds for him. the initial deposit we made with MD Anderson is still enough to cover us before the induction of Blinatumomab (the drug we are going to use) but it would be possible to raise funds ASAP so we can proceed right away. the funds to be raised will be a life saving grace to our Bonito who is full of love and intelligence. our family's bundle of joy. the funds is a matter of life or surrender. we would rather fight the dreaded C.
