Bones For Bailey

If you know me (Hannah!) at all, you know I love animals! More specifically, dogs!  And you know that my Bailey girl means the absolute world to me. A few weeks ago I had to take her to the emergency vet because while we were playing in the backyard her back legs went out from under her and she wasn't able to stand back up or even sit. They made her comfortable(ish) and the next morning I took her to her regular Vet to find out she has hip dysplasia in both hips. Her vet told me it was the worst case she's ever seen and gave me two options - 1) keep her comfortable with pain medication until it is too unbearable for her and put her down ... Or 2) have total hip replacement surgery.

They did a bunch of blood work and found that other than her hips, she is 100% healthy and everything else is working great. She is only 6 years old and we were told with this surgery she could have as much or more life left than she's already lived. So of course we have decided to go with surgery! She is too precious, heathy and young for Taylor and I to let go of her now. She is always making us laugh and brings us so much joy! The only thing is - total hip replacement is going to be very expensive.
