Funds For Ezra

My son Ezra was recently hospitalized for 2 months fighting for his life. At birth he was diagnosed with Septo Optic Dysplasia, a condition that leaves him with minimal eye sight, developmental delays and adrenal instabilities which make any small virus a very serious issue. On may 14th 2014 he didn't really seem himself and in the middle of the night he let out a very loud and unusual cry and as my boyfriend to check on him he found that Ezra was unresponsive and really hot so we ended up calling 911 and they rushed us to the ER at Castle Medical Center. When we got there and as they were assessing my son the look on their faces said it all, and me and Isaiah just started holding each other and crying. A few minutes later the words that no parent wants to hear came out of the doctors mouth, we don't think your sons going to make it. I was numb to I couldn't move I couldn't feel anything it was like someone suckered all the air right out of me and stabbed me in the heart. As I heard them talking and figuring out ways to get him stabilized I prayed, I prayed that God would somehow pull my son through this and just hang on and keep fighting, to give him strength to just hold on and let the doctors work pull through. And as I was praying the doctors were able to stabilize him and we got transferred to kapiolani medical center for women and children. When we got to kapiolani we went straight to the pediatric intensive care unit and there they were working on stabilizing him and getting hooked up to a bunch of monitors and ivs ekgs a machine that was helping him breathe and a bunch of other things. It was so surreal. After all the madness and after they got him as stable as they could it was found that Ezra had experienced septic shock, stroke and was positive for coronavirus. They said he was going to be okay but as far as to what extent they were unsure until he was able to wake up on his own breathe on his own and when they assess him. After about a week or so in there they were able to remove the breathing tube and Ezra was finally breathing on his own and was awake so they finally assessed him. When the assessment was over it was found that he had experienced some brain damage which caused him to have autonomic instabilities and was not able to eat properly enough to get vital nutrients and with that we were told we had to get a g tube inserted into his stomach. Everyday in there Ezra did get a lot better and after 2 months were finally home, thank god. Of course it feels good to be home but that also means back to the real world as well. With ezras conditions he requires around the clock care which means I am unable to work anymore and two months worth of hospital bills on top of our bills at home make things a lot more stressful at home for me and Isaiah.
