<div>In the wake of the tragic accident on March 7th 2026 on Arrowrock Road that claimed the lives of a father and child, the Boise County community is rallying to ensure such a tragedy does not pass without actions. We are officially launching a fundraising campaign to establish a dedicated Public Safety Dive Team for Boise County Search and Rescue (BCSAR).

<div>Boise County is home to some of Idaho’s most popular and dangerous waterways, including the Payette River, Lucky Peak, and Arrowrock Reservoir. However, the county currently lacks a localized, rapid-response underwater rescue unit. When underwater emergencies occur, BCSAR, Boise County Sheriff’s Office, and local fire and EMS, must often wait for dive teams from neighboring counties. A delay that can be the difference between a rescue and a recovery.

"This initiative is about giving our first responders the tools they need to help victims during the 'Golden Hour' of survival."

<div>The campaign aims to raise $50,000 to start and maintain the unit. These funds will be managed by BCSAR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and will be used for:
