Bodhi Strong

Bodhi Walker Fennell arrived to the world on September 9th, at 10:44 a.m. He arrived unexpectedly at 28 weeks gestation, weighing 3 lbs. 13 oz., and was  16” long. His mommy and daddy and big sister Layla need all the love and support that we can give them during the next few months of this unexpected journey.

Bodhi will be in the NICU at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio for an extended period of time, while he continues to grow, develop and fight medical complications associated with premature births. He is receiving excellent care, which is a real comfort to Chris and Madyson. A critical component to Bodhi’s care plan is ensuring his parents are available to participate in his care.

Family and friends have set up this fund to help decrease the financial burden expected in the coming weeks and months. Funds will be used to help pay bills and medical costs that are not covered by insurance. They will also help with travel expenses between Marietta and Columbus in the coming weeks, and lost wages for Madyson, as she and Chris care for Bodhi in Columbus, and upon his return home.

Their main focus right now is getting Bodhi healthy enough to come home.
