Bobs Lake Tragedy.

Donation protected
There was a tragic accident Thursday evening October 10th, on Bob's Lake Ontario. 5 people, very good friends of mine, from the same family were out fishing and another boat came flying up the lake not looking at all and crashed into the front of the boat as you can see, hitting person in the head that was sitting in the front, the impact was so hard he was tossed into the lake and killed. The daughter, Kelly Phav, saw her father  from 10 feet away  get hit and killed right in front of her , and son-in-law, Sean Phav, and two other in-laws, Sean's mom and dad included  in the incident. The boat that hit them didn't even help out, or say sorry, they drove away to a dock, while this man (Siyeng Iv) lay face  down in the water , unconscious. Somebody else from a different Cottage that heard the impact and screaming got in their boat and went and helped them back to shore to their Cottage, very tragic and preventable accident. Part of this family came from Cambodia many years ago, and we're very lucky to have the opportunity to struggle but make a living in Canada , Half of them were born and raised here, and love Canada. Eight of the other siblings and relatives that we're coming down the next day, including son of the deceased, Kelly's brother Mark (Sovannara Iv),  got the tragic phone call early Thursday evening to rush to the Kingston General Hospital, because of the accident. , 1 dead, 3 injured. Kelly with  arm injury  , Sean with arm injury  Sean's father with broken ribs and lower back injury . This family now has to incur costs of transporting the father's body from Kingston to Hamilton,  to a funeral home where the body needs to be kept long enough for some family members to be able to make it over from Cambodia, after they get admission and they figure out how they can find enough money to pay for some plane tickets. Funds to be used for funeral costs etc, (Sovannara Iv) son, to handle the funds. Some broken ribs and a lower back injury will keep Sean's father from working for a while, and he has no benefits or coverage. The guy that hit them, hopefully will be getting charged for the accident, but that won't help this family at all since they are from the United States, it was a very preventable boating accident, that would take years because of US courts to ever get anything if they even have insurance, the Americans that hit them. And if there is a lawyer here that could even pursue the case. That is why I have put a goal of $20,000 to help these people out. That's far less than their losses and costs will be. Let alone the complete and  udder heartbreak this family is going through.
