Bob Niemela Engineering Scholarship

Bob Niemela was a father, a friend, an engineer, and a visionary. He devoted his life's work to making the world a better place, whether through engineering leadership, educating students, or civic engagement, and he leaves a legacy of perseverance and ingenuity.
A memorial scholarship will be set up in his name for engineering students at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan, his alma mater. All contributions made here will go towards the scholarship fund. If we reach $25,000 in contributions, we will create an endowment to the University that will allow the scholarship to continue in perpetuity.
We hope to keep the scholarship going for years to come. There was nothing that gave Bob more joy than seeing young minds discovering the world, creating new ideas and envisioning new possibilities.
